Family Night Fun

So for Family Home Evening last night we made these really big sugar cookies. I had the kids help me roll out the dough and they got to choose how big they wanted there cookies to be. We cut them out with my glass bowls and then baked them. I thought that with just listening to conference this last weekend we would do an activity centered around President Monson's talk about being grateful. I made up some "paint" using some Karo syrup with a little bit of water and food coloring. Then I let the kids paint what they were grateful for on their cookies. It was really fun. They liked being able to use their artistic abilities AND be able to eat their project afterward. You may not be able to tell what they painted but they sure had fun.

Mom and Dad even got in on all the fun. Mom was grateful to have such a wonderful and loving husband to have and take of her and her beautiful family..... (It's supposed to be Jeff)....

And Jeff was grateful for the Temple. (I think he did an awesome job)

All in all it was a fun and messy night with treats that everybody enjoyed. What more could we ask for. Oh, and here's another picture of my baby because she is just do stinkin' cute.....how could we not love her. :)
