So all growing up I wasn't ever that big on St. Patrick's Day. I mean who wants to be "pinched" just for not wearing green. Anyway, my dad always tried to make it fun for us girls and would "green-ify" our milk, or put green food coloring in it before he went to work.
Well, I've tried to carry on this tradition with my kids because for 1) it's fun to see their reaction. And 2) Green milk is awesome!!! So this morning (St Patrick's Day) I put green food coloring in the milk jug before the kids came down for breakfast and when they saw it they thought it was "so cool" that we had green milk and they thought that maybe a leprechaun had turned it green because they have magic. So, it was really fun to listen to their thoughts on it. And then Katelyn looks at her milk and then at me with a look of disgust on her face and says, " mom, maybe you left it in the fridge for too long".
Well, that's NOT what happened, but I thought it was funny. That girl is way too smart.
